I don't specifically remember when I become an Animal Crossing fan, but it's been one of my favourite video game IPs since I was a little kid. I've had City Folk for as long as I can remember, I got New Leaf as a birthday gift in 2013, and I bought New Horizons on launch. I have played Population Growing and wild World, though not completely legally.

Everyone has their own story on how they got into Splatoon. For most people, it was a gift from someone they knew, a recommendation from a friend, or videos on the internet maybe. For me, however, it was those god awful ads. You know the ones. I don't know if it was the bright colours, the loud music, the sight of mild violence I craved, or all of the above, but those ads just captivated my little kid brain. Whenever they would come on on the TV, I would instantly start begging my parents to buy it for me. I must've annoyed them enough, because on my next birthday, I opened up my presents to see the game along with the 3 original amiibos.

Needless to say, I've been obsessed with this franchise ever since I received the game on that fateful day.

Like any kid who grew up with Nintendo consoles, I've played my fair share of Pokemon games.
